Softball Recap: Central Comes Up Short

Central fell victim to Tyrone and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They lost 9-0 to the Golden Eagles. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Dragons' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Central saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kailyn Gahagan, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Central has also been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Tyrone, the victory was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-4.

Looking ahead, Central will venture away from home to take on Bald Eagle Area at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tyrone, they will head out to face off against West Branch at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Golden Eagles' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8.1 runs per game this season.
