Basketball Recap: Fishburne Military Takes a Loss

Fishburne Military was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were dealt a 110-31 defeat at the hands of the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks. The match marked the Caissons' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Miller School of Albemarle had a senior duo take command as Ryan Crotty went 14 of 26 en route to 39 points in addition to seven steals and six assists and Shane Crissman almost dropped a double-double on 35 points and nine steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Crotty has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Jaylen Dyer, who shot 4-for-6 from beyond the arc and almost dropped a double-double on 16 points and nine boards.

Fishburne Military's loss dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 12-10 record this season.

Fishburne Military will venture away from home to square off against The Covenant at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Carlisle at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Miller School of Albemarle's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four matchups.
