Basketball Game Preview: Rogers Rams vs. Start Spartans

Rogers hasn't had much luck against Start recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams will be playing in front of their home fans against the Spartans at 7:00 p.m. One thing working in Rogers' favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.

On Monday, Rogers strolled past Liberty Center with points to spare, taking the game 76-57.

Meanwhile, Start humbled Woodward with an 84-47 victory. The Spartans have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 27 points or more this season.

Start is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.4 points over those games. As for Rogers, their victory bumped their record up to 12-4.

Things could have been worse for Rogers, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-43 loss to Start when the teams last played back in February of 2025.
