A Season-Best Performance from Demon June Leads Jacksonville over D.H. Conley

Demon June produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Jacksonville to the win on Friday. June rushed for 407 yards and six touchdowns while picking up 17.7 yards per carry, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 71-yard run.

Unfortunately for D.H. Conley, this isn't the first big game they've seen from June. When June last faced the Vikings back in October of 2023, he rushed for 138 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.

Jaylen Hewitt Turns in Season-Best Effort

Jaylen Hewitt produced his most outstanding game to date while leading Havelock to the win on Friday. Hewitt threw for 397 yards and six touchdowns while completing 86.4% of his passes.

The win (which was Havelock's fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1. Hewitt will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Northside - Jacksonville on Friday.

Crisean Williams Sets Career High in Rushing Yards

D.H. Conley came up short on Friday despite Crisean Williams delivering his best game to date. Williams rushed for 202 yards and four touchdowns, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He has become a key player for D.H. Conley: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns, but 1-3 otherwise.

On the season, Williams has run in 12 touchdowns while averaging 92.6 rushing yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 8.25 rushing yards per game.

On Friday, Jacksonville got the W thanks in part to Eric Griffin playing the best football he has all season. Griffin rushed for 168 yards and two touchdowns on only 14 carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.

On the year, Griffin has run in 9 touchdowns while averaging 93.2 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 19.33 rushing yards per game.

Christopher Bispham Dazzles in Havelock Win

The second Havelock player making an appearance here is Christopher Bispham, and for good reason. He picked up three sacks and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss). He is on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in the last six games he's played.

This year, Bispham has averaged 7.6 total tackles per game and for the season has 8 sacks.
