University Lab had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 3.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Saturday. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Catholic - N.I. Panthers. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Cubs have posted since February 27th.

Trey Sotile looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Lane Mixon was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

University Lab's victory bumped their record up to 14-7. As for Catholic - N.I., the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 12-8 record.

University Lab will have a chance to go back-to-back against Catholic - N.I.: the pair will be back at it again later today.
