Jersey is a perfect 6-0 against Granite City since May of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Panthers will face off against the Warriors at 3:45 p.m. Jersey will be strutting in after a victory while Granite City will be coming in after a defeat.

Jersey's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Saturday. They blew past Collinsville 13-0. The Panthers have beaten the Kahoks the last three times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Kahoks has come to flipping the script.

Anna Kribs and Maleah Derrick did most of the damage at the plate: Kribs went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run, while Derrick went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Derrick has posted since back in March. Paxton Weirich also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

Jersey always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .571. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Granite City was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 17-7 to Quincy. That's two games in a row now that the Warriors have lost by exactly ten runs.

Christine Myers made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Chloe Randolph was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Granite City's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13. As for Jersey, their win bumped their record up to 7-11-1.

Everything went Jersey's way against Granite City in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Jersey made off with a 12-1 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Panthers since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
