Basketball Recap: Eagle Pass Comes Up Short

Eagle Pass extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 32 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-30. They took a hard 67-51 fall against the Medina Valley Panthers. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1223rd, while the Panthers are ranked 476th).

As for Medina Valley, their record is now 19-14. The win continues a trend for them in their matchups with Eagle Pass: they've now won three in a row.

Jordan Robles was his usual excellent self, going 5-for-10 to rack up 24 points. What's more, he also posted a 50% shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2025. Braylon Roberts was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with 12 points and nine boards.

Eagle Pass does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Medina Valley, they have already played their next matchup, a 72-68 loss against Laredo LBJ on the 17th.
