Soccer Recap: Lisbon Takes a Loss

After flying high against West Delaware last Thursday, Lisbon came back down to earth. The Lions came up short against the Independence Mustangs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. If Lisbon were looking for revenge after losing 4-0 to Independence when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lisbon's loss dropped their record down to 6-3-2. As for Independence, they pushed their record up to 14-2-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight on the road.

Coming up, Lisbon will venture away from home to challenge Vinton-Shellsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Independence, they have already played their next match, a 3-0 victory against Springville on the 6th.
