Basketball Game Preview: Steinbrenner Warriors vs. Sickles Gryphons

Two dominant guards in Naomi Parker and Kelsey Sharpe are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Steinbrenner Warriors will face off against the Sickles Gryphons at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Steinbrenner is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They managed a 51-45 win over Gateway. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Warriors.

Meanwhile, Sickles entered their tilt with Charlotte on Tuesday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They came within six points of losing the streak, but they secured a 52-46 W against the Fightin' Tarpons.

Steinbrenner better keep an eye on Sharpe. She was instrumental in Sickles' win, going 7-for-16 en route to 23 points in addition to eight boards and five assists. Sharpe has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last 41 times she's played. Jadyn Watts was another key player, putting up 14 points along with five rebounds and four steals.

Steinbrenner's record now sits at 25-3. As for Sickles, their record is now 21-8.

Steinbrenner came up short against Sickles in their previous meeting two weeks ago, falling 60-51. Can Steinbrenner avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
