Soccer Game Preview: Air Academy vs. Cheyenne Mountain

The Air Academy Kadets will head out to take on the Cheyenne Mountain Red-Tailed Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Air Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.

For some reason, the away team has come away with the win the last four times Air Academy and Discovery Canyon have met, but the home crowd finally got their W on Thursday. The Kadets put the hurt on the Thunder with a sharp 9-1 victory. Grace Bennett was a massive factor in the win as she booted in five goals all by herself.

Meanwhile, Cheyenne Mountain and Lewis-Palmer finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Thursday. The outcome might've been different if Clare Jones hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Air Academy's win bumped their record up to 7-3-2. Cheyenne Mountain's draw gives them a new season record of 6-4-3.
