Basketball Recap: Jefferson Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Alanna Morehead and Abbie Bracius

If Jefferson was riding high fresh off their 60-14 takedown of Rockford East last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Jefferson J-Hawks received a blow on Friday as they fell 58-40 to the Rockford Auburn Knights. The J-Hawks haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Jefferson's loss came despite strong showings from Abbie Bracius and Alanna Morehead. Bracius posted 18 points, while Morehead put up 16 points. That was a full 45% of Jefferson's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Jefferson's loss dropped their record down to 4-25. As for Rockford Auburn, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.
