Basketball Recap: Middle Township Skates Past Sterling with Ease

With a playoff win on the line, Middle Township rose to the challenge on Monday. They took their match with ease, bagging a 56-25 win over the Sterling Silver Knights. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 31-5.

Leading Middle Township to victory were Sarah Farrow and Reagen Powell. Farrow dropped a double-double with 12 points and 11 boards, while Powell posted 20 points. Powell's morning made it five games in a row in which she has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Isabelle Toland, who had seven points and three blocks.

Middle Township smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive boards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sterling only six offensive rebounds.

Middle Township is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-5 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 53.9 points over those games. Sterling dropped their record down to 14-14 with the loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.

As of now, neither Middle Township nor Sterling have any future games scheduled.
