Volleyball Recap: Crisp County Comes Up Short

Crisp County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 2-0 to the Savannah Arts Academy Panthers. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Panthers from their previous meeting back in October of 2024.

Leading Savannah Arts Academy to victory were Maggie Allen and Bella Jaqua. Allen had eight digs and four aces, while Jaqua had four digs and two aces. With that strong performance, Allen is now averaging an impressive 2 aces per game.

Crisp County now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Savannah Arts Academy, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-14.

Coming up, Crisp County will head out on the road to face off against Perry at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Savannah Arts Academy, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 win against Pierce County on the 13th.
