Soccer Recap: Escondido Plays to a Tie

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Escondido was forced to settle for a draw on Thursday. Neither they nor the San Marcos Knights could gain the upper hand so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Escondido's goal came courtesy of Anthony Ramirez, who's now up to five this season.

With that draw, Escondido's record moves to 12-2-2. As for San Marcos, they moved theirs to 2-5-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Escondido challenge the Valley Center at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for San Marcos, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Mt. Carmel at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. San Marcos' last four contests have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
