Pinewood had already won nine in a row and they went ahead and made it ten on Wednesday. They came out on top against the University Prep Academy Golden Eagles by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 3-0 loss the last time these two teams met.

Pinewood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 26-24, 25-11, 25-21.

Mailey Wang paced Pinewood's offense, picking up 15 kills. Wang got some help from Caitlin Yamaguchi and her 33 assists. Wang was also solid from the service line: she led the team with seven aces.

Pinewood's record is now 11-1. As for University Prep Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Pinewood will be playing at home against Pacific Bay Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for University Prep Academy, they are taking a road trip to face off against Summit Shasta at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
