Volleyball Recap: Madison Takes a Loss

Madison was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Owen Warhorses, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warhorses this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-11, 25-11.

Eva Greer paced Madison's offense, picking up eight kills. Greer got some help from Meredith Gault and her 17 assists.

Madison's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Owen, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-1.

Madison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Mitchell on the 9th. As for Owen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against North Buncombe at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
