Volleyball Recap: North Royalton Takes a Loss

North Royalton lost against Wadsworth back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Bears came up short against the Grizzlies, falling 3-0.

While North Royalton had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-20, 25-21.

Their offense was headlined by Addison Messick and Abby Berte, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Sophia Panichi and her 13 assists. Kira Geiger and Ally Buffa kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with two aces apiece.

North Royalton now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Wadsworth, their win was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.

After both having extra time off, North Royalton and Brecksville-Broadview Heights will shake off the rust and duke it out at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bears are facing the Bees at the right time seeing as the Bees are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Wadsworth, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Chardon on the 20th.
