Basketball Recap: Gruver's Luck Changes for the Better on Tuesday

Gruver posted their closest victory since December 13, 2024 on Tuesday. They skirted past the West Texas Comanches 42-39. The win was some much needed relief for the Greyhounds as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Gruver's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-15. As for West Texas, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 16-11 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Sanford-Fritch the next time they take the court. Gruver will host Sanford-Fritch at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while West Texas will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on January 21st.
