Football Recap: Lutheran Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Lutheran extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to five on Friday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were outmatched by the Winnebago Indians and fell 53-12. The Crusaders were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-12.

Winnebago's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-3. Their offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Winnebago's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cooper Larson led the charge by rushing for 115 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Merryman, who rushed for 76 yards and three TDs.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lutheran will head out to face off against Dakota at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Crusaders will be up against the Indians' rather soft defense (which has allowed 48 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Winnebago, they will take on Byron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 5.8 points per game this season, so the Indians' offense will have their work cut out for them.
