Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Eaton

Eaton has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging three runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Fort Morgan Mustangs 13-11. The win was familiar territory for the Reds, who have now won four matchups in a row.

Eaton saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cooper Nider, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, four RBI, and one run. Those two stolen bases gave Nider a new career-high. Brayden Legler was another, scoring two runs and stealing two bases.

Eaton's victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Fort Morgan, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-5.

Coming up, Eaton will be playing at home against Brush at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
