Soccer Game Preview: Chippewa vs. Central Christian

Chippewa is 0-9-1 against Central Christian since September of 2018 but things could change on Saturday. The Chipps will be taking part in a tournament against the Comets at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Central Christian better have a healthy lead at halftime, because if Chippewa's game on Thursday is any indication, that's when Chippewa really gets things going. Everything went the Chipps' way against Newton Falls as they made off with an 8-2 win. It was an even better day for Corbin Gasser as he scored three goals for his team.

Meanwhile, Central Christian kept a clean sheet against Waynedale on Thursday. They blew past the Golden Bears 3-0. The victory continues a trend for Central Christian in their matchups with Waynedale: they've now won four in a row.

Chippewa's win bumped their record up to 8-10-1. As for Central Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 13-2-3.

Chippewa couldn't quite get it done against Central Christian in their previous meeting back in September as they fell 2-0. Can the Chipps avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
