Baseball Recap: Highlands Comes Up Short

Highlands fell victim to Derry and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They fell just short of the Trojans by a score of 1-0. Golden Rams fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Trojans since on Monday.

Highlands saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kristian Kocon, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

This is the second loss in a row for Highlands and nudges their season record down to 5-5. As for Derry, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-4 record this season.

While Highlands had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
