Softball Game Preview: Ridgevue Warhawks vs. Centennial Patriots

The Ridgevue Warhawks will face off against the Centennial Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Ridgevue is looking for their season's first win.

Ridgevue came up short against Eagle on Thursday, falling 11-3.

Hannah Rogers was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and one stolen base. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Another player making a difference was Laycee Dewsnup, who scored a run while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Centennial faced Rocky Mountain in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Patriots fell 12-7 to the Grizzlies.

Jailey Polski ?25 made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Bailey Shankland ?26 was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Ridgevue's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Centennial, their loss dropped their record down to 7-6.

Ridgevue took their victory against Centennial in their previous matchup back in March of 2018 by a conclusive 16-6 score. Will the Warhawks repeat their success, or do the Patriots have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
