Elk Lake proved they can win big two weeks ago (they won by ten) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Holy Cross Crusaders. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Crusaders, too.

Noah Gesford was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Logan Ayotte, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Elk Lake's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-3. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for Holy Cross, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.

Elk Lake has already played their next game, a 7-5 defeat against Old Forge on the 27th. Holy Cross does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
