Basketball Recap: Chambers/Wheeler Central's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Chambers/Wheeler Central won the last time they faced Bloomfield, and Michael Jesse did his part to make sure it happened again. The Chambers/Wheeler Central Renegades snuck past the Bloomfield Bees with a 47-41 victory on Friday thanks in part to Jesse, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and four steals. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (three).

Despite the loss, Bloomfield still got an impressive performance from Beau Eisenhauer, who went 9 for 15 en route to 23 points and five rebounds. Jacob Smith was another key player, putting up ten points.

Chambers/Wheeler Central's win ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Bloomfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost nine of their last ten matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season.

Chambers/Wheeler Central has already played their next game, a 44-35 victory against Niobrara/Verdigre on the 28th. As for Bloomfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 76-36 win against Winside on the 27th.
