Basketball Recap: Cottage Grove Takes a Loss

Cottage Grove was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 49-41 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Bend Bulldogs. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 53-38 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Cottage Grove's defeat dropped their record down to 7-9. As for North Bend, they have been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 11 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Marist the next time they take the court. North Bend will head out to face Marist at 7:15 p.m. on Friday, while Cottage Grove will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on January 28th.
