Volleyball Recap: Hauser's Win Ends 11-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Hauser took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Morristown, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Jets came out on top in a nail-biter against the Yellow Jackets on Saturday, sneaking past 2-1. For the Jets, this counts as revenge for the 3-0 win the Yellow Jackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2024.

Hauser had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 25-12, 15-6.

Hauser's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Dickey, who had seven aces and six digs.

Dickey wasn't the only good server: Hauser was lethal from the service line and finished the game with ten aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in August of 2024.

Hauser's win ended an 11-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Hauser will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Rising Sun at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Morristown, they will head out to challenge Hagerstown at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
