Preview: Northeastern Bobcats vs. York Suburban Trojans
Northeastern has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will face off against The York Suburban Trojans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.
Last Friday, Northeastern was beaten by Red Lion 61-24. Northeastern was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-0.
Meanwhile, York Suburban fell victim to Eastern York's stalwart defense on Friday and couldn't make it onto the board. Their rough 21-0 defeat to the Golden Knights might stick with them for a while. Having soared to a lofty 31 points in the game before, York Suburban couldn't push the score so high this time.
Northeastern's loss was their 17th straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. As for York Suburban, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Northeastern took a serious blow against York Suburban when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 56-27. Thankfully for Northeastern, Mikey Bentivegna (who rushed for 255 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 15.9 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
