New Palestine is a perfect 9-0 against Delta since May of 2016 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Dragons will be playing at home against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m. New Palestine is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
On Thursday, New Palestine needed a bit of extra time to put away Hamilton Heights. They skirted past the Huskies 6-4.

Sadey Hughbanks spent all nine innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Payton Dye was excellent, going 2-for-5 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April.
Meanwhile, Delta was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 6-1 to Elwood.
Delta saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jacquelyn Linn, who went 1-for-2 with one run.
New Palestine has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for Delta, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-12.
Delta's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. New Palestine has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Delta, though, as they've been averaging only 3.4 strikeouts. Will New Palestine keep running through batters, or will the Eagles buck the trend?
New Palestine got the 'W' when the teams last played back in May of 2025 against Delta by a conclusive 10-0 score. Will the Dragons repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
