San Juan Hills and San Clemente are an even 5-5 against one another since March of 2016, but likely not for long. The Stallions will head out on the road to take on the Tritons at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

San Juan Hills' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-0 victory over Newport Harbor. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Stallions.

Meanwhile, San Clemente hadn't done well against Trabuco Hills recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Tritons were the clear victors by a 6-0 margin over the Mustangs. The Tritons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by six runs or more this season.

Emily Racine made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 15 consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

In other batting news, Peyton Stokes was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two runs and one double. Puka Iosua also deserves some recognition as she snagged her first stolen base of the season.

San Clemente has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-7-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for San Juan Hills, their record now sits at 9-12.
