Soccer Recap: Garfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Huntington Park last Friday, Garfield came back down to earth. The Garfield Bulldogs fell 2-0 to the South Gate Rams on Monday. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in January.

Garfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for South Gate, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a massive bump to their 13-5-3 record this season.

Garfield will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Legacy at 4:00 p.m. Garfield is facing Legacy at the right time seeing as Legacy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for South Gate, they will venture away from home to face off against Bell at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. South Gate will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
