After a string of five wins, Manual's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They took a 56-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Joliet West Tigers. The Rams were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2015.

Manual's loss dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Joliet West, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-6 record this season.

Manual and Joliet West could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Manual (ranked 61st) will meet Rock Island (ranked 13th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Joliet West will challenge Homewood-Flossmoor at 3:30 p.m. on Monday down 57 places (69 vs. 12).
