Baseball Recap: Altus' Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Altus put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against the Lawton Wolverines as the Altus Bulldogs made off with a 20-6 win. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 12-2 last Monday.

The team relied heavily on Garrett Gribble, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March of 2024. Donovan Naff was another key player, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Altus always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .771. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lawton only posted an OBP of .500.

Altus' victory bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Lawton, they are on a 23-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Altus will take on Elk City at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Lawton, they will head out to take on Bishop McGuinness at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
