After a string of nine wins, Hackleburg's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell just short of the Hatton Hornets by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Hackleburg saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Braylynn Pope, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one run.

Hackleburg's defeat dropped their record down to 26-8. As for Hatton, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-21-2.
