Baseball Recap: Gibbs Comes Up Short

Gibbs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 12th straight loss dating back to last season. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Southeast Seminoles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gladiators of the 24-5 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Gibbs' loss dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Southeast, their victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-7.

Coming up, Gibbs will venture away from home to face off against Gulf at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southeast, they will take on Bradenton Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Bradenton Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.
