Softball Recap: Sheridan Beats Searcy for Their 12th Straight Win

Sheridan put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Searcy Lions a 13-0 shutout. 13 seems to be a good number for the Yellowjackets as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of runs in their previous game.

Cooper Terry looked comfortable as she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Skylar Sterritt was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Sadie Sterritt, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.

Sheridan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .533 or higher every time they've taken the field this season.

Sheridan's win bumped their record up to 3-0. As for Searcy, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.

Sheridan wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 12-0 victory against Greenbrier on the 8th. As for Searcy, they will challenge Rivercrest at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
