Cascade entered their tilt with South Putnam on Friday with 11 consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with 12. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 11-1 victory. Considering the Cadets have won eight matches by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Davis Hart looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in eight consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Toby Savini was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Cort Hubner was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI and one run.

Cascade pushed their record up to 17-3 with the win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for South Putnam, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Cascade will welcome Kokomo at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for South Putnam, they will take on Southmont at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Mounties at the right time seeing as the Mounties are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
