For the second straight game, Mountain Ridge will face off against American Fork. The Sentinels will challenge the Cavemen at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Mountain Ridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.5 runs per game this season.

Mountain Ridge is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Thursday. They blew past American Fork 12-2. The Sentinels haven't had any issues with the Cavemen recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive win against them.

Sydney Lambert was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out 12 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Lambert was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Red Brooks was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most hits she has posted since back in April. Tatyana Toala was another key player, going 2-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base.

Mountain Ridge was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .593. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

American Fork is on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-20. As for Mountain Ridge, their victory bumped their record up to 21-4.

Friday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Mountain Ridge hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .401. However, it's not like American Fork struggles in that department as they've averaged .324. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
