Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Diablo Red Devils vs. Las Lomas Knights

Mt. Diablo hasn't had much luck against Las Lomas recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Red Devils will be playing at home against the Knights at 4:30 p.m. Mt. Diablo has given up an average of 13.7 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Friday just wasn't the day for Mt. Diablo's offense. They lost 21-0 to Berean Christian on Friday.

Mt. Diablo saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Johnny Vazquez, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Las Lomas had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 6.7 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. Everything went their way against the Pumas as they made off with a 10-2 victory.

Garrett Phillips looked comfortable as he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

On the hitting side, Julian Milojkovic was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double. Preston Hillis was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs and two RBI.

Las Lomas' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Mt. Diablo, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-9.
