Dynamic duo of Adam Searcey and Treyson Anderson lead Pius X to victory

Recap: Pius X Thunderbolts vs. Lincoln Southeast Knights

The Pius X Thunderbolts had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came out on top against Lincoln Southeast by a score of 58-46. For Pius X, this counts as revenge for the 78-70 loss Lincoln Southeast walked away with the last time they faced one another last Saturday.

Leading Pius X to victory were Adam Searcey and Treyson Anderson. Searcey scored 16 points, while Anderson dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. The matchup was Anderson's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aiden Brass, who scored eight points along with six rebounds.

Lincoln Southeast lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jake Hilkemann, who scored ten points along with eight rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Mike Ngoyi, who scored ten points.

Pius X has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season. As for Lincoln Southeast, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-4.

Pius X will head out on the road to face off against Omaha Westside at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday. As for Lincoln Southeast, they will be playing at home against Papillion-LaVista at 5:15 p.m. on Saturday.
