Softball Recap: Tuslaw's Run of Three Straight Victories Now Over

After flying high against Northwest on Friday, Tuslaw came back down to earth. The Mustangs fell 9-6 to the Triway Titans on Monday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Mustangs of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Kaydence Chapman was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-5 with three stolen bases and two runs. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games she's played. Adyson Nussbaum also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

The defeat snapped Tuslaw's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 13-7 record. As for Triway, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-5 record this season.

While Tuslaw had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
