Baseball Recap: Warren Has No Trouble Against Belpre

Warren barely beat Belpre the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Warriors blew past the Golden Eagles 10-2 on Saturday. That eight run margin sets a new team best for the Warriors this season.

The team relied heavily on Jacob Stauffer, who scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in two of his five plate appearances. Those runs were his first of the season. Another player making a difference was Saben Jonas, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

Warren's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Belpre, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-4.

Coming up, Warren will square off against Point Pleasant at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Belpre, they will take on Wellston at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
