Recap: St. Francis de Sales Pioneers vs. Leo Lions
Even though the St. Francis de Sales Pioneers have not done well against the Leo Lions recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. St. Francis de Sales had just enough and edged the Lions out 43-41. The victory made it back-to-back wins for St. Francis de Sales.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Francis de Sales to victory, but perhaps none more so than Eric Johnson, who scored ten points along with three steals. Jacob Hurst was another key contributor, scoring six points along with six rebounds.
St. Francis de Sales is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-15 record this season. As for Leo, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-13.
St. Francis de Sales will be playing in front of their home fans against the Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Providence-St. Mel is no doubt hoping to put an end to a six-game streak of away losses.
