Capital faced Boise in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Golden Eagles were the clear victors by a 13-6 margin over the Brave. The result was nothing new for the Golden Eagles, who have now won ten matches by six runs or more so far this season.
Kiya Caltabiano made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up six earned runs off ten hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in three of her five plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.
