Basketball Recap: Center Victorious

If Central Heights wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Center, they should've done a better job of containing Tim Johnson. The Center Roughriders walked away with a 54-45 victory over the Central Heights Blue Devils on Tuesday thanks in part to Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and ten rebounds. His evening made it nine games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Travis (TJ) Belin Jr, who went 6 of 13 on his way to 13 points and seven steals. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 3 steals per game.

Center's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Central Heights, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Center will head out to square off against Pollok Central at 11:20 a.m. on Thursday. Center is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.7 points per game this season. As for Central Heights, they will welcome Hudson at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday.
