Basketball Recap: Glass Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Glass entered their tilt with Heritage on Wednesday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They came within four points of losing the streak, but they secured a 41-37 W against the Heritage Pioneers. Given the Hilltoppers' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 87th, while the Pioneers are ranked 251st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Calyce Garvin and Tailor Coles certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Garvin almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds, while Coles dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten boards. Maddie Cole was another key player, putting up a point and three steals.

Glass' victory bumped their record up to 11-6. As for Heritage, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season.

Glass wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Fleming on the 5th. As for Heritage, they have also already played their next matchup, a 44-38 win against Rustburg on the 7th.
