Baseball Recap: Meek Comes Up Short

Meek lost against Holly Pond back in February of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Meek Tigers took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Holly Pond Broncos. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meek saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Conner Lane, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Meek's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Holly Pond, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-10.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Meek will challenge Athens Bible at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Holly Pond, they will face off against Susan Moore at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
