Basketball Recap: Hoquiam Comes Up Short

Hoquiam lost against Ilwaco back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Hoquiam Grizzlies were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 52-51 to the Ilwaco Fishermen.

Hoquiam has been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Ilwaco, their victory bumped their record up to 6-8.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hoquiam will square off against Aberdeen at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Aberdeen is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 56 points per game this season. As for Ilwaco, they will face off against Castle Rock at 11:00 a.m. on Monday.
