Baseball Recap: Concord Christian Finds Home Field Redemption Against Apostolic Christian Academy

There's no place like home for Concord Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. Everything went their way against the Apostolic Christian Academy Flames on Monday as they made off with a 12-0 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Lions considering their one-run performance the match before.

Oakley Helton was incredible, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Sparks, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs.

Concord Christian hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Apostolic Christian Academy struck out eight times.

Concord Christian's record now sits at 3-20-4. As for Apostolic Christian Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-12.

Concord Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Apostolic Christian Academy, they will welcome Campbell County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
