Basketball Recap: Rowdy Lloyd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Lincoln County over GV Christian

Lincoln County has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were four points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 59-55 heartbreaker at the hands of the GV Christian Guardians. The Lynx were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Guardians earlier this season, when they won 51-49.

Lincoln County's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Rowdy Lloyd, who posted 16 points and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kalen Bart, who went 5 of 10 to rack up 12 points and seven boards.

GV Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Nick Madsen led the charge by going 8 for 19 en route to 25 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Wake Rolwing, who had 15 points and three steals.

Lincoln County's loss dropped their record down to 15-8. As for GV Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-14.
